The process of building a home is both exciting and stressful. The professional and friendly team at Key Homes has helped to minimize the stress leaving us free to enjoy the experience. When deciding on who to build our dream 330 sqm home, we turned to a small company which had a reputation for quality of product and service. Their many House Of The Year Awards can attest to this. We have not been disappointed thus far (our house is still being built at the time of writing). It is extremely exciting to see our creation take shape. The many hours spent in the planning process has been well worth the effort. While we tried to plan for everything, there have been changes that we have made after seeing the building take shape. Key Homes have been very accommodation with these last minute changes. We have no hesitation in recommending Key Homes to anybody considering building a home.
After a lot of consideration of new home options to relocate ourselves in Tauranga we took the daunting step of building instead of buying an established home (which had been our usual practice on many occasions). A large number of show homes were visited and researched along with the reputation of the various building companies offering their products. From the very first contact with the Key Homes team we felt extremely comfortable that they would provide us the experience we were after ie first class service backed by a superior product and trouble free construction period. Our decision to engage into a contract with Key Homes proved to be an extremely good one throughout the entire process. Of note was the regular building progress updates, the ready assistance with a wide range of suggestions and options open to us and the unfailing positive reaction to any of our questions, enquiries or times when help was needed. We were delighted when this continued well after the build was complete with any further pieces of work (all small/minor) completed promptly and to a very high standard. Back in 1992 we were faced with the prospect of building a new home or relocating a house to a bare block of land we had purchased at Otakiri in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. We considered all options and visited many show homes right across the North Island looking for quality and value for money. Key Homes was the only company that met all our requirements. From the outset, the service was prompt, reliable and extremely friendly. The advice and support throughout the planning, building and interior design stages was superb. In short, the whole experience was a satisfying and rewarding pleasure because the manager & staff at Key Homes made it so.
By 2004 we were looking to build another new home. We again visited builders and show homes across the country.
